After thinking of ideas from the Design Festival brief I have now changed to the MOSI group. I am interested in the brief of creating an interactive space for 5 year olds within the museum. Hopefully I can use some of the ideas I had thought about previously and adapt them to fit with the new brief. So today I went to visit MOSI...
Manchester Museum of Science and Industry is all about the history of Manchester up until the current day. The musuem has been open sicne 1969 exploring Manchesters history of science and technology. MOSI not only offers the history of Manchester but is interested in the future and experimenting with new technologies and sciences.
One part of MOSI that really intersted was the cotton industry as I knew how important it was to Manchester but never really understood why or what happened to make it so famous, so it was exciting to learn about that and to see the machines and conditions people had to put up with.
