My final piece is a collection of samples representing my family through using their shoes as inspiration for knitting. The idea behind this piece is that all the seperate pieces of knitting are linked together using buckles and shoe laces, representing our family all being together as one. I think this piece would fit well in Urban Outfitters along side the footwear and photographs of my family, as it is unique and interesting to look at because of the interesting use of yarns and textures. I also see my work being displayed in a gallery space. I think the idea behind this piece is interesting however I would have liked to have experimented more with different materials and techniques pushing my ideas further.
