Evaluation

Being given the brief for this project initially really inspired me. I was looking forward to working with interiors, as its not something I had done before. I was also looking forward to work not only as a large group but, as small groups all working under the same brief but eventually producing very different outcomes.
I feel I began this project well, I was motivated and excited by the concept of meeting all the different artists at the organised lectures and learning things from them and started by attending most of them. Our group initially began meeting up and discussing ideas however, this soon stopped, although we continued to communicate through Facebook. I felt myself taking a much more individual approach to the work, coming up with more personal ideas relating to Manchester. I think we all worked more individually than what other groups appeared to be. For me this project became quite a struggle and I found myself becoming less interested and motivated compared with how much i've enjoyed previous projects. However, I feel the blog and Facebook helped as I could regain inspiration from others in my group from there.
Overall, I personally feel our group didn't work too well as a group and I feel more comfortable working as an individual. I also found out from this project that interiors doesn't particularly inspire me. I feel much more inspired by fine art work or even fashion.
